Recently, NMPA approved the registration application of the new cosmetic raw material isobutylaminothiazolylresorcinol submitted by Beiersdorf's German headquarters. This new raw material is made by chemical synthesis process, and the registrant has carried out efficacy and safety verification. It can be used as a whitening agent in leave-on cosmetics (except for products that may have inhalation exposure). Its registration approval provides a new option for the development and use of freckle-removing and whitening cosmetics in China.
Since the implementation of the Cosmetics Supervision and Administration Regulations in 2021, this raw material is the first new whitening raw material to complete registration. Therefore, the approval of this raw material has also attracted considerable attention and discussion in the industry, and many industry insiders believe that this is of historical significance to the whitening field.
