NIFDC Released Guidelines on Safety History Determination of New Cosmetic Ingredients for Use and Edible Use (Draft for Comment)





In order to standardize new cosmetic ingredients research, to guide the determination of safety history regarding cosmetic use and edible use. Based on the relevant regulatory requirements, NIFDC drafted 2 technical documents, which are the Guidelines for the Study and Determination of the Safety Use History of New Cosmetic Ingredients for Public Comments and the Guidelines for the Study and Determination of the Safety Consumption History of New Cosmetic Ingredients for Public Comments.


The documents explain how companies can combine information gathered from ingredient consistency, adverse effect monitoring situations and other aspects to determine safety history.
