3. What is the difference between the user group "infants" and "children" in the classification code?
According to the provisions of the classification catalogue of the user group in Table 3 of the Classification Rules and Classification Catalogue of Cosmetics, "infants" are 0-3 years old, including 3 years old. The efficacy claims of products involving this group of people are limited to cleansing, moisturizing, hair care, sun protection, soothing, and refreshing. "Children" are 3-12 years old, including 12 years old. Therefore, if a children's cosmetic claims to have a "repair" efficacy, the user group can only select "02 children".
4. Which product dosage forms in the classification code are easy to be confused?
(1) "Gel" and "paste, mask, substrate". According to the provisions of the classification catalogue of the product dosage form in Table 4 of the Classification Rules and Classification Catalogue of Cosmetics, "gel" refers to jelly, glue, etc., "paste, mask, substrate" refers to paste, mask, containing substrates used with cosmetics. Therefore, if a sleeping facial mask is in a gel state and there is no mask-forming step in the production process, the product dosage form in the classification code of the filing application form should select "03 gel" instead of "10 paste, mask, substrate".
(2) "Spray" and "aerosol". According to the provisions of the classification catalogue of the product dosage form in Table 4 of the Classification Rules and Classification Catalogue of Cosmetics, "Spray" does not contain propellant, and "aerosol" contains propellant.
