On January 18th, EnterCo and Yi Beauty & Lifestyle jointly held the 2023 annual data report and
illegal case analysis live broadcast event, attracting many industry insiders to watch and consult. Vicki
Jia, CEO of EnterCo, and Vian Fang, BD manager, analyzed online the new cosmetic ingredient data in 2023 and the trends, imported and domestic special cosmetic registration data, and shared the non-compliant cosmetic cases in 2023.
Yi Beauty Lifestyle is a service platform for the global beauty and fashion consumer goods industry,
which brings through over 100,000 member companies with five roles: retailers, brands, internet
celebrities, service providers, and factories.
Data Analysis
In 2023, NMPA issued 22 sampling notices, with 601 batches of non-compliant cosmetics. Among
them, 522 batches of cosmetics did not meet the relevant regulations, and 79 batches detected
prohibited raw materials.
In 2023, a total of 5,700 domestic special cosmetics are registered, an increase of 80% compared to
the same period last year. Meanwhile, nearly 900 imported special cosmetics are registered, an increase
of 93% compared to the same period last year.
In 2023, China's imported general cosmetics market saw a new lease of life. The total filing number
reached more than 12,500, an increase of 10% compared to 2022.
In 2023, about 567,000 domestic general cosmetics completed filing, an increase of 37% compared to
2022.
