This article mainly analyzes the precautions for cosmetic label design.
In accordance with the Measures for the Administration of Cosmetics Labels, cosmetic labels shall be clear, durable, and easy to identify and read. Any phenomenon such as falling off of printing characters, loose pasting, etc. shall not appear on the cosmetic labels. In addition, the following precautions should pay more attention to:
1. Use standard Chinese characters
Cosmetics shall have Chinese labels using standard Chinese characters. If other characters or symbols are used, the corresponding explanation in standard Chinese characters shall be marked on the visible surface of the sales package, except for websites, names and addresses of overseas enterprises, conventional and technical terms, etc. that must use other characters.
2. Chinese labels of imported cosmetics
According to the Regulations for the Supervision and Administration of Cosmetics and other regulatory documents, imported cosmetics can mark Chinese labels directly or affix Chinese labels. If Chinese labels are affixed with original labels, the content related to the product safety and efficacy claims of the Chinese labels shall be consistent with the original labels.
Notes: The foreign characters shall have corresponding Chinese and the font of the foreign characters shall not be larger than the corresponding Chinese; the meaning of the foreign characters shall match with the corresponding Chinese, and both of which shall not express or imply the content prohibited by China’s regulations.
The foreign characters shall have corresponding Chinese or explanation on the same visible surface of the sales package, except for trademarks registered in foreign characters that can be noted and explained on other visible surfaces.
3. Font size requirements
If the maximum surface area of the cosmetic packaging (container) is larger than 20 square centimeters, the font height of content marked on the surface of the cosmetic label shall not be less than 1.8 mm.
Notes:
① If the maximum surface area is less than or equal to 20 square centimeters, the font height is not limited, as long as it is clear, easy to identify, and not easy to fall off.
② The maximum surface area refers to the area of the largest one of the six surfaces; For cylindrical packaging, the maximum surface area refers to the larger one of the side areas and the bottom area.
4. Net content requirements
The selection of the legal units of measurement of net content shall comply with the provisions of Table 1 of the Measures for the Supervision and Management of Quantitative Packaging Commodities;
The minimum height of the characters marked with net content shall comply with the provisions of Table 2 of the Measures for the Supervision and Management of Quantitative Packaging Commodities.

Note: The legal units of measurement shall pay attention to the capitalization of letters, such as ml or mL, which can not be written as Ml or ML, otherwise, shall be ordered to rectify due to the unqualified net content labeling.
5. Unqualified net content labeling
Guide words are not used or guide words are not used correctly;
The legal unit of measurement is not used or the legal unit is marked incorrectly;
The font height of the characters marked on the net content does not meet the relevant requirements;
The legal unit of measurement is not correctly marked according to the product attributes;
According to the Measures for the Supervision and Management of Quantitative Packaging Commodities and relevant regulations, those who do not correctly and clearly mark the net content shall be ordered to make corrections within a time limit, and those who fail to make corrections within the time limit shall be fined not more than 1,000 ¥.
